ย And so, we are pleased to host a series of 30 hr Yoga Anatomy Modules. These are technical courses that are registered and compliant with Yoga Alliance standards. The modules are aimed at yoga teachers and practitioners who would like to learn more about the technicalities of a yoga practice. The courses will provide the knowledge to build both mobility and flexibility, strength and stability in yoga and Pilates, encouraging understanding of potential limitations into postures. In addition, it is an awesome opportunity for practitioners to take postures to the next level through this informative experience.ย
These modules are part of our 300 hr Yoga Teacher Training program and hours can be counted towards the completion of your advanced training.
The training focused on assisted stretching for the Ashtanga Primary Series. I walked away with so much more confidence, precision and insight into how to support and stretch students safely and effectively. I especially enjoyed the morning Ashtanga practice as it really completed the course and helped integrate everything we were learning. Whether you are an experienced teacher or looking to deepen your practice, I canโt recommend this course enough.

Andrea Omar, AKA Metal Monkey comes with over 15 years of dedicated teaching experience in the yoga and the wellness industry. Her mission is to get people moving the way nature intended free from pain, with agility and ease. Andrea specialises in mobility & flexibility training and has her own platform, Metal Monkey, where sheย shares her teachings.
ย Julia Gavin has strong foundations in the traditional practice of Ashtanga Yoga. She has developed a contemporary practice that clearly reflects modern yoga. This a fusion of traditional methods with contemporary techniques. She promotesย an intelligent practice through flexibility and mobility. Moreover, she continues to explore the physical and the spiritual both on and off the mat. She has been teaching Yoga Teacher Trainings in Liverpool and Goa since 2012.
Immersion Objectives
- Advance your Ashtanga through morning practice with adjustments and ‘hands on’ corrections throughout
- Know how to mobilise and stabilise your joints with integrity
- Understand physical, anatomical limitations and how to modify for your students
- Know injury prevention and common precautions
- Look at how we should use our shoulders in arm balances and inversions
- Get deeper into The Splits, Leg Behind the Head and Lotus Pose by understanding muscles of the pelvis
- Love backbends and know how to extend through the spine with integrity
- Be a part of our yoga community
This Yoga Anatomy Course in Liverpool is registered as Continuing Professional Development hours for the Yoga Alliance membership. However, you do not need to be a yoga teacher to participate, just ready to dedicate time to your studies and practice.
Yoga Anatomy Schedule
The courses will run Wednesday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. There will be daily homework so try to keep evenings free.
