Yoga Anatomy in Liverpool? Looking for an in depth and energising few days of yoga in Liverpool? Wanna understand more about the anatomical details of your mobility? And so, we are pleased to host this 30 hr Yoga Course in The Science of Stretching. This is a technical course that is registered and compliant with Yoga Alliance standards. The course is aimed at yoga teachers and practitioners who would like to learn more about the technicalities to build mobility and flexibility in yoga and Pilates. The course is fully interactive with a ‘hands on’ approach. In addition, it is an awesome opportunity for practitioners to take postures to the next level through this hands on experience. Moreover, it is also ideal for teachers who would like to be more ‘hands on’ with their students.

This course is part of our 300 hr Yoga Teacher Training program and hours can be counted towards the completion of your advanced training.

About this yoga anatomy immersion

In terms of practice, we will modify the practice to make it accessible to your physicality and limitations, whilst pushing boundaries to challenge your physical practice.

The course will focus on the muscular-skeletal system with an in depth study of the hip joint and pelvis. In understanding how the our muscles work, we can gain insight into stretching, both actively and passively. Above all, the days will include a 2 hour Ashtanga practice, The Anatomy Workshop with Julia and Stretch Lab with Andrea.

The training focused on assisted stretching for the Ashtanga Primary Series. I walked away with so much more confidence, precision and insight into how to support and stretch students safely and effectively. I especially enjoyed the morning Ashtanga practice as it really completed the course and helped integrate everything we were learning. Whether you are an experienced teacher or looking to deepen your practice, I can’t recommend this course enough.

Your Trainers

Andrea Omar, AKA Metal Monkey comes with over 15 years of dedicated teaching experience in the yoga and the  wellness industry. Her mission is to get people moving the way nature intended free from pain, with agility and ease. Andrea specialises in mobility & flexibility training and has her own platform, Metal Monkey, where she shares her teachings.

 

Julia Gavin has strong foundations in the traditional practice of Ashtanga Yoga. She has developed a contemporary practice that clearly reflects modern yoga. This a fusion of traditional methods with contemporary techniques. She promotes an intelligent practice through flexibility and mobility. Moreover, she continues to explore the physical and the spiritual both on and off the mat. She has been teaching in Liverpool and Goa since 2012.

This Yoga Anatomy Course in Liverpool is registered as Continuing Professional Development hours for the Yoga Alliance membership. However, you do not need to be a yoga teacher to participate, just ready to dedicate time to your studies and practice. There will be daily homework so try to keep evenings free.
